【GREEN×EXPO 2027 特集】日本造園組合連合会の理事長・寺石隆一さんと副理事長・大場二郎さんをインタビュー。来年の開催まであと半年とちょっとという段階で造園連は、どのような取り組みを進めているのかについてインタビューした。
まず、参加して作品を発表することで技が次世代に継承されていくことが目的と話したお二人だが、現場は少しその空気とは異なるようだ。すでに、石を準備し、構想の仮組みまで行っているとのこと。現場では、受賞することは大きなモチベーションとなっているようだ。長い歴史の中で受け継がれてきた技と精神について迫った。

For the GREEN×EXPO 2027 feature, I interviewed Ryuichi Teraishi, chairman of the Japan Federation of Landscape Contractors (JFLC), and Jiro Oba, its vice-chairman, about what the federation is doing with a little over half a year left until the expo opens. Both described the aim as passing craft on to the next generation by taking part and putting work on show — but on the ground the mood seems to run a little differently. Stones have already been gathered, and trial arrangements of the designs are under way. For the people doing the building, winning an award is clearly a powerful motivation. The piece looks closely at the skills and the spirit that have been handed down over a long history.
