- 雑誌『庭』第265号は、創刊50周年を迎えての大特集『日本の庭の現在地』。その中のコラムのひとつで、海外に日本の庭を伝えている二人に登場していただいた。一人は米山拓未さん（米山庭苑）。ヨーロッパの中でもイタリア、フランス、ベルギーなどで庭づくりの講師を担当している。もう一人は星宏海さん（庭匠霧島）。星さんもまた、イタリアやフランスを中心にロシアなどでも講師と施工の実績を持っている。なぜ、海外での活動を行っているのか。そのモチベーションはどこにあるのか。海外で得たものは何か。これからの夢は。さまざまなことをお二人に語っていただいた。

- Issue No. 265 of NIWA marks the magazine's 50th anniversary with a major feature, "The Current Landscape of Japanese Gardens." Another of its columns turns to two gardeners who are carrying the Japanese garden abroad. One is Takumi Yoneyama of Yoneyama Teien, who teaches garden-making in Italy, France, Belgium and elsewhere in Europe. The other is Hiromi Hoshi of Niwasho Kirishima, who has likewise taught and built gardens in Italy and France, and in Russia as well. Why work overseas? Where does the motivation come from? What have they gained there? And what do they hope to do next? The two of them talked about all of it.
